We have been working in South Yorkshire since 2000 and we created Blue Tree Acoustics in 2008.  We haven't counted, but it must be thousands of noise surveys and hundreds of noise assessments that we have undertaken in all parts of Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, and Doncaster.

We undertake planning noise assessments and sound insulation tests in the country weekly.  There are various firms declaring a presence in Sheffield, but there are only actually two or three respected consultancies active.

We have undertaken many assessments in many locations around South Yorkshire.  Whether your site is in Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster, or Rotherham - Blue Tree Acoustics will be able to assist.

Sound insulation testing can usually be undertaken in one site visit, but larger sites will require multiple site visits in order to complete the sound testing regimen.  For acoustic testing, properties should be complete but without floor coverings in place.  Ideally, the properties being sound tested in South Yorkshire would have 240V mains power, but we can usually cope with 110V on site.

Noise at work assessments can also be undertaken region-wide and would usually involve one site visit.  Larger sites may require multiple visits in order to measure all of the noise data required.  However, size is not the only critical aspect - number of types of staff, and numbers and types of machinery or noise-generating equipment, may also increase noise survey times and post-survey data processing/assessment time.

We also undertake wind farm assessments in accordance with the ETSU noise standard.

As the Peak District is adjacent to Sheffield, we regularly undertake noise surveys and sound tests for renovations of old farmhouses converted into luxury flats, or glamourous holiday accommodation.  Glamping and camping sites are increasingly created on farmland, which can also be a source of noise and of sensitivity to existing noise sources.
